The Western Canadian Ringette Championships 2019 is pleased to announce our feature speaker for this years closing ceremonies banquet will be head coach of the 2015 and 2017 Gold medal winning junior national team, Lorrie Horne.

 

Lorrie is an Albertan through and through, raised on a farm outside of Olds, Alberta.  She has been involved in Ringette as a player and a coach for over 35 years. 

 

Lorrie was selected as the Head Coach for the Senior National team in 2002, bringing home the first Gold medal for that team since 1996.  Lorrie has continued to build on her legacy by bringing home back to back Gold medals with the junior national team in 2015 and 2017. Lorrie will continue to lead the Jr. National Team into the 2019 World Ringette Championships this December in Burnaby, BC.

 

Lorrie's passion for the sport of ringette and her ability to inspire young athletes has led to many success's both on and off the ice for ringette in Canada. We are thrilled to have her speak this evening, sharing her journey. We hope that you all join us for what we are sure will be an exceptional evening.
